Shift Kit

In our present era, having a car is more of a necessity rather than luxury. When you drive one, you do not only gain extra bragging rights but you also have the privilege of experiencing a hassle free traveling way too far from commuting. And of course, it is a plus factor if your car runs fast yet making sure of it’s passengers’ safety. BUT basically, it is a car’s shift kit that manipulates your car’s good running performance.
A shift kit is an automobile component that improves how well a vehicle can shift from a certain gear to another. A shift kit is a mode developed both for manual transmission and automatic transmission.


A shift kit in a manual transmission is technically used by a driver-operated clutch typically operated by a foot pedal for automobiles and a hand lever for motorcycles mainly to regulate the torque transfer from the engine’s internal combustion system directly to the transmission and of course a shaft call the gear stick that can either be operated by foot as on a motorcycle or by hand as in an automobile.


In an automatic transmission, a shift kit is normally used to automatically change gear ratios as the car moves that frees the driver from having to shift from a gear to another, manually. A shift kit in this mode of transmission has a set gear ranges. Basically, in order to select the operating mode, the driver moves the shift kit usually found in  the steering column or on the car floor. To select which mode to use, the driver then presses the shift lock button or pull the handle out for column mounted shifters.
