After a hard run or speed racing, switching your engine off is a big no no because the exhaust temperature of your car or truck is above normal engine idle temperature and by switching it off immediately cause turbo bearing damage.

With the engine stopped there is no oil flow over the bearing that supports the hot turbocharger wheel assembly. This causes the residue oil being burned and the resulting carbon will cause premature turbo failure.  With the help of Diesel Turbo Timer, you just set the timer and leave and the Diesel Turbo Timer will do its job, this will give the engine time to cool down before it switch off. With this given time the Diesel Turbo Timer allows the engine oil to circulate through the turbocharger bearing housing which draws heat out of the bearings and impeller shaft to bring the temperature down to a safe level before the engine Diesel Turbo Timer shuts down. If this idle temperature process is not practiced on a regular basis the hot engine oil will stop flowing along with the engine and sit on the turbo bearings causing long term damage. This leads to Coking which is another cause of factory turbocharger failure.

The Diesel Turbo Timer has an audible alarm beep that can be activated or deactivated that can be heard during the countdown. With its fifteen preset times; zero to three minutes and thirty seconds of interval. The Diesel Turbo Timer has a safety circuit that connects to the vehicle and resettable LED hour display time.
